The 1,100th anniversary of the founding of the Abbey of Cluny in Burgundy, France presents Scotland with a chance‐in‐a‐lifetime to be part of wonderful pan‐European celebrations. They started in Cluny in September 2009 and will reach their climax there in September, 2010. The Cluny 2010 Scotland Joint Organising Committee set up a programme of events which took place between 14th‐16th May, 2010 centred on Paisley Abbey, Renfrewshire and Crossraguel Abbey, by Maybole, Ayrshire.

Although our week-end of celebrations has now passed we are still maintaining contact with the Cluny network. A 46-strong group from Renfrewshire and Ayrshire will visit Cluny in September for the climax of the celebrations.
